As a native of Alva, Florida, Ross Chastain grew up growing watermelons on his family’s farm when he wasn’t turning laps at local short tracks. Now 30, Chastain competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Trackhouse Racing in the No. 1 Chevrolet.

Over the last three seasons, Chastain has logged 200 starts in NASCAR’s top three national touring series, earning him the title of NASCAR’s busiest driver. Chastain’s first victory in NASCAR competition came in 2018 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, auditioning for Chip Ganassi Racing and sweeping all three race stages in spectacular fashion. He has since won six more races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Series. In 2019, Chastain finished second in the NASCAR Craftsman Series championship standings and won the most popular driver award.

2022 was a career defining year for Chastain. He scored 2 wins, 15 top-5s and 21 top-10s. He made history at Martinsville Speedway by riding the wall, in a move now called “The Hail Melon,” to advance to the Championship 4. where he went on to finish second in season ending championship standings. Additionally, he scored a victory in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway driving for Niece Motorsports.

In 2023, he returns to the No. 1 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet looking to continue his climb to the top of the NASCAR Cup Series.
