Moose 25 Club

The Moose 25 Club program was established to provide an incentive for members to sponsor their family and friends into the fraternity. Sponsor incentives are given for annual and short-term campaigns, but the Moose 25 Club is over your lifetime of being a Moose. Once you sponsor your 25th member into the Fraternity, regardless of how long it is between the first time you sponsor a member to your 25th, you automatically advance to the Moose 25 Club. Each new Moose 25 Club member is assigned a roll number, which is unique to them. This roll number is added to the certificate and pocket card provided to the new Moose 25 Club member. Historically, each new Moose 25 Club member has received a lapel pin/charm depicting the Moose 25 Club logo.

Advancement within the Moose 25 Club program is in increments of 25 up to the 200 level. The increments are then every 50. Congratulatory letters are provided to the sponsor at each level. Extra incentive awards are given out at various levels. A lodge life membership has been given at the 250 level; a jewelry box has been given at the 750 level; and a Moose 25 Club watch was awarded at the 1,000 level. Beginning with the 500 level, a Moose 25 Club ring has been offered and at each 100 increment, a diamond was added. As with other programs, however, changes to awards and award levels can vary depending upon the current programs offered at Moose International.

At the International Moose Convention, members of the Moose 25 Club are invited to a special event. In order to receive an invitation, a member of the Moose 25 Club must sponsor 5 members during the current annual campaign (May-April). The only exceptions to this requirement are: A) advance to the Moose 25 Club during the current year (signing 5 is waived this first year); and B) a complimentary invitation is given each year to all members once they advance to the 300 division of the Moose 25 Club.

Associations throughout the Fraternity also have Moose 25 Club events at their Annual or Mid-Year conferences. For these parties, typically the same requirements are used for their invitations.

Reinstate vs. Re-enroll

If you reinstate, by paying back dues and dues in advance, you retain your years of service into the fraternal unit you are expired in.  If you re-enroll, you lose your years of service and pay the application fee and one year of dues.

You may re-enroll into any fraternal unit, while you can only reinstate into the fraternal unit you are expired in.  You also need a sponsor to rejoin.  It is often cheaper to re-enroll, but are your years of service important to you?  If so, reinstating your membership is the way to go!  Remember, you only have 24 months from the time your dues expire to have the option to reinstate.  Either option is handled by submitting an application and required monies to the fraternal unit you want to join.

New changes to Reinstatement &. Re-Enrollment:

The Moose Fraternity’s General Laws now allow expired members additional options to renew their membership once their dues have expired.

Any person whose dues have expired, but are within six months from their dues expiration date, must:

– Pay dues, which will continue their membership from the date of expiration shown on their most recent membership card

**Action: Remit dues to Dues Processing Center

Any person whose dues have been expired between six months and one year may:

– Pay dues, which will continue their membership from the date of expiration and will maintain their years of service in the Moose

**Action: Remit dues to Dues Processing Center

– Re-Enroll in their original Lodge/Chapter or any Lodge/Chapter; however, they will lose all years of service in the Moose. The new dues expiration date, however, will not occur until one full year from the enrollment date reported by the Lodge/Chapter and Moose International

**Actions:
– Submit official application, circling the application type as re-enroll
– Remit necessary application fee/dues
– Sign Former Member Acknowledgement

Any person whose dues have been expired for more than two years must:

– Re-enroll in their original Lodge/Chapter or any Lodge/Chapter, losing years of service

**Actions:
– Submit official application, circling the application type as re-enroll
– Remit necessary application fee/dues
– Sign Former Member Acknowledgement

ATTENTION: Administrator/Recorder: If an applicant is applying as a re-enrollment to his/her original Lodge/Chapter, a re-vote by membership is required. If re-enrolling into a different Lodge/Chapter, the applicant must be approved by the Application Review Committee and Lodge/Chapter membership. The Former Membership Acknowledgement must be signed.

Transfer Membership

Membership dues must be current in order to transfer. An application needs to be submitted to the incoming fraternal unit, along with the required transfer fee. The incoming fraternal unit contacts the outgoing fraternal unit and if no objection, membership is then voted on at the next meeting.  If approved, your membership would be moved to the new fraternal unit.

Transfer Fee:
$20.00 – Loyal Order of Moose
$10.00 –  Women of the Moose
$10.00  –  Moose Legion
