To Our Fallen Riders,
We ride as Moose Riders, both brothers & sisters of our Lodges. We ride with pride and dedication to our cause. We have ridden in the rain, the sun, the cold and the heat. There is nothing we would not do for the kids of Mooseheart – to make them smile and have them give us high fives or knuckles is the best feeling. We ride for the brothers & sisters of Moosehaven, who once stood shoulder to shoulder with us in the Lodge. To make our Senior’s smile is like seeing a child with a new toy. Moose Riders have always helped our lodges and communities. We ride to better the lives of people that have had a bump in the road, whether that be a minor setback or something truly life changing.
There are times that we have to say goodnight to a Moose Rider. They are now riding the Golden Bike on a highway of gold. They have no fear of running out of gas or not getting to see the beautiful sights God has put along the roadside. Yes, we miss our fellow riders but, they now belong to the Golden Moose Lodge in Heaven. They ride streets of gold where there is no rain or cold. They ride free every day. They ride the biggest mountains and the longest curves both left and right, never worried about rocks or potholes. This why we say goodnight and we will see you soon.
We miss our Brothers & Sisters that have fallen. Some of them were leaders, jokesters, or just members wanting to form friendships and hang with other Moose Riders. We will never forget them, and we miss them every day. Some days we miss them more, especially during the ride they started or the ride they looked forward to each and every year.
Holding the memory of Fallen Moose Rider is never easy, but we honor them by keeping their name on our mind and the love they shared in our hearts. So, to the Moose Riders that we have said goodnight to: We miss you, we love you, and we will ride together again. We will not forget you, and we will not let the memory of you leave us.
