All-Star Wreck Ruins Chastain’s Day in Dover; Coca-Cola 500 Up Next

After an emotional week with the unexpected death of long-time Cup Series driver Kyle Busch, Moose Fraternity NASCAR driver Ross Chastain went out in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and won the race. He drove through a succession of challenges — including a patch of oil and a brush with the outside wall — to win Saturday night’s rain-shortened Charbroil 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Following the race, Ross paid tribute to Kyle Busch with his signature bow after the victory. The next day, in the Cup Series Coca-Cola 600, Chastain was poised to have a solid run, but contact from Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on lap 319, sent him into the wall and ended his night prematurely with a 35th-place result.

“I’m not really sure what happened. We were on the straightaway and the last I saw in my camera was that the No. 47 (Ricky Stenhouse Jr.) had a run. He went to go to the inside of me and hit me in the back bumper. It turned me right into the wall and then I hit the ROVAL chicane wall, which is the worst thing you could hit. Just an unfortunate way to end the night in our No. 1 Chevrolet.” – Ross Chastain

Chastain next races in the Cracker Barrel 400 in Nashville, Tennessee where he finished just outside the top ten in 2025. Ross and the No. 1 Chevrolet team hope to improve on that performance this Sunday night at Trackhouse’s home track.

Members looking to cheer Ross on at the Cracker Barrel 400 at Nashville Superspeedway can watch the race on Sunday, May 31st  starting at 7:00pm ET on Prime Video.
