2-HOTTCourse Description
This 2-day hands-on technical training course teaches Fraternal Units how to work within the QuickBooks, LCL.net and Moose Admin programs. This instructor-led class consists of a combination of instructor lecture and demonstration. After learning the “how,” “when,” and “why” behind the necessary QuickBooks, LCL and Admin Menu functions, students will have an opportunity to practice what they have learned as they work through a training database.

ObjectivesAt the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Successfully work within the QuickBooks Chart of Accounts to perform financial transactions common to any FRU
- Successfully work within the LCL.net program to enter, update, delete and transmit fraternal unit information, member record data and member applications
- Successfully work within Moose Admin to enter officers, pay A/R statements, submit required reports and pay dues
- Create and transmit LCL, QuickBooks and Admin Menu Reports
AudienceThis class has been designed for Chapter Recorders. This class may also benefit Treasurers or anyone else interested in learning more about LCL, QuickBooks and Admin Menu operations.

In most cases, a small fee will be charged to cover the trainer’s expenses. If overnight lodging is necessary, students are responsible for making their own arrangements and paying for their own accommodations. The cost of overnight accommodations is not the responsibility of the Lodge, Chapter, Moose Legion, Association or Moose International. -
Administrator SchoolCourse Description
This 3-day hands-on, instructor facilitated course begins with an overview of the Administrator’s detailed task responsibilities and the supporting resources available to help Administrators complete those tasks. From there, students are provided an opportunity to practice daily Administrator tasks using a simulated QuickBooks company. Finally, students will perform interactive individual and group exercises to recognize how the Administrator’s role can contribute to successful operations of the Social Quarters, and in turn, increase member retention.
ObjectivesAt the end of this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify detailed Administrator duties and supporting resources
- Perform simulated daily tasks of the Administrator (count registers, manage petty cash, track accurate inventory, enter/pay bills,etc.)
- Explain and uphold the Moose Private Policy
- Format and analyze business report
- Employ and manage staff
AudienceThis class has been designed primarily for Lodge Administrators and supporting clerical staff. This class may also benefit other Lodge Officers, Audit Committee Members or any other active members that are interested in learning more about the role of the Administrator.
PrerequisitesPrior to attending this class, participants will need to complete a 2-HOTT course. You must have prior knowledge of, and experience with, LCL and QuickBooks operations within the Moose environment. Basic LCL and QuickBooks operations will NOT be re-taught in this class.
Schedule & RegistrationParticipants must register for this class by completing an Administrator School Registration Form and submitting it to the Admin School Trainer prior to the registration deadline. Course PrepA computer is required for this class. Some training locations have participant computers, some do not. At minimum, QuickBooks Pro 2007 must be installed on the computer you are bringing to class. Contact your session trainer prior to the registration deadline to confirm computer prep requirements.

Lodge Leadership Training (LL)Course Description
This 1-day interactive, instructor facilitated course is designed to meet both the general needs of the Lodge leaders and Committee Chairman as well as the needs of the Social Quarters Manager. The course will help participants understand how those in a position of Lodge leadership work together to meet the overall needs of the Lodge and the Social Quarters. The instruction and materials are divided into two parts, one specific to Lodge leadership and the other to the Social Quarters.
ObjectivesThe primary objectives for students attending Lodge Leadership training are:
- Recognize how organizational resources (Lodges, Regional Mangers, Territory Managers, Moose International, Associations and Districts) work together to support lodge operations and fulfill the Moose International Mission.
- Understand the responsibilities of the Board of Officers as it relates to the Social Quarters; recognize the reasons for following the General Laws, and interpreting business reports.
AudienceThis class has been designed primarily for Lodge Board of Officers, Committee Chairmen, and Social Quarters Manager. This class may also benefit Financial Review Committee members, clerical support staff and any active Moose member who is interested in learning more about Lodge and Social Quarters operations.

Governors WorkshopCourse Description
This 2-hour interactive, instructor facilitated workshop is designed to meet specific needs of the Lodge Governor and Jr. Governor. This is an opportunity to go into greater detail and reinforce concepts that were covered in LL&HC training.
ObjectivesThe primary objectives for students attending Governors Workshop are:
- Identify the Governor’s specific role and responsibilities in presiding over all Lodge meetings (Board of officers, General Membership, House Committee, and Joint meetings with Chapters) and in appointing committee chairmen and appointed officers.
Audience
