November Message from Mary Froning

Greetings from the Grand Regent!

Fall is defiantly here as the temperatures are cooler, the leaves are showing their beautiful array of colors, and yes we have seen the frost on the pumpkins in the mornings. What an exciting time of the year as we transition from one season to another and see the changes that come with it. We go from beautiful sunny and warm days to cooler temperatures and in some areas even cold temperatures and yes that dreaded “s” word ~ snow!

I have attended my last assigned Fall Conference in sunny and warm Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It was great to put my feet in the ocean and feel the sand between my toes. We had a great conference and I wish to thank Deputy Grand Regent Elaine Phillips and the co-workers of SC for a great weekend. I enjoyed sharing the weekend with Scott Hart as the OV for the men. I will end the month of October in Orlando, FL at our Boards and Grand Council meetings and will start the month of November with our One Moose Meeting.

What an exciting time for our Moose Fraternity as we continue to push forward with becoming “One” Fraternity. I am so excited to be a part of this historic time and am excited to see the results of our meetings in Orlando.

Member Retention Week is the first full week of November. I hope you have some fun events set up to work on your retention numbers that week. If we work on retention every month it is not so hard at the end of the year to see that Plus 1. I am hoping we can have a gain in membership this year in our chapters across the nation. If we treat each month as if it were April and work on retention I know we can achieve our membership goals! Thank you for all you do to make this happen.

November is a time of thanksgiving, and I am so thankful I have my Moose Family in my life as we reflect on all the things that we are grateful for. You are all such a strong support group and very much appreciated. This is also a great time of year to do some wonderful things in our community as well. I hope your Chapters and Lodges are working on some great Heart of the Community projects. There are so many individuals in our communities that are not as fortunate as us and I am sure they would appreciate anything we can do to help them.

Thank you all for all you do for our kids at Mooseheart and our seniors at Moosehaven. We know they appreciate all that you do for them.

Very Blessed and Grateful. Your Grand Regent,

Mary Froning
