Since the first World Games were held in Chicago, IL in 1968, Special Olympics has provided year-round training and athletic competition in Olympic-style sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Moose is pleased to be the primary supporter of Special Olympics softball. In 2009, the Moose made possible the first Special Olympics National Invitational Softball Tournament, which was held in Lincoln, Nebraska as a test event for the 2010 Special Olympics USA Games. Since that initial event, we have sponsored the softball venue at the 2010 and 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, and have enabled Special Olympics to hold a North American Softball Invitational Tournament during the interim period between USA Games. As a result of our support and our partnership with Special Olympics North America and ASA Softball, there is now a nationwide event for Special Olympics softball held each year.

Information about the Special Olympics Program can be found in our Forms/Documents section. To learn more about how your Lodge/Chapter can become more involved, please contact Camille Ruffino by email or call (630) 966-2213.
