Life Membership in the Moose:

The rest of your Moose career is dues-free after you’re a member 50 years--or for a one-time payment--but it’s our gift if you sponsor 250 applications!

> Mountain Home Arkansas Lodge #1953 Officers award Clarence E. Frazier his Life Membership for having devoted 50 years of service to the Loyal Order of Moose. With Brother Frazier are (left) Treasurer Paul Sillence and Governor Jeff Crownover and Trustee Tony Lane at right.

Every member in good standing is eligible for Life Membership after 50 consecutive years of service; additionally, any member can purchase a Life Membership at any time for a one time dues payment of $600 for Lodges, or $400 for Chapters.

But, a Life Membership also goes to any Loyal Order of Moose member who has sponsored his 250th membership application!

Membership Materials Online For Your Convenience

> Membership building takes hard work and thoughtful planning, but no matter how hard you plan and work, sometimes membership-promotion ideas just don’t come. That’s why the Membership Department creates the materials that go along with the annual membership campaign. These aids are available for your use and designed with one purpose in mind - to help make your membership efforts run smoother and enable your Membership Committee to have an accessible resource to use.

In addition to the traditional membership campaign materials--the campaign broadsides, the Preferred Member sign-up posters and the other materials that are sent to Lodges, Moose Legions and Chapters, the Membership Department, in conjunction with the Communications & Public Affairs Department, has made additional Membership resource materials available online at www.mooseintl.org.

Included on the Membership portal of the Members Only section of the Loyal Order of Moose website--specifically, at www.mooseintl.org/ portal/Membership/default.asp#material, you’ll find, among other things, a month-by-month guide of suggested membership building events and activities to hold in your Moose Center. All of these events are themed to coincide with a Moose-related historical day or a calendar holiday.

All of the events are created as “springboards “ for events you might want to hold to increase membership and all of them have been tailored to adhere to our fraternity’s General Laws. You’ll also find an approved ad layout designed to generate interest in your Lodge that that may be placed in local “penny-savers”, shopper or coupon newspapers, sports programs or other publications aimed at the general public. It is important to note that this ad has been developed to run as is, without changes, in order to stay within Moose General Laws for advertising.

There are materials that have been prepared for use in your Lodge newsletters to help with your membership efforts as well. All of these materials have been created with the purpose of aiding your Lodge, Moose Legion or Chapter in increasing membership, reaching quotas, widening your fraternal unit’s resource base and increasing our Defending Circle . . . all by Passing It On; making available as many support materials as we can!
