Lodge/Chapter News:

Chapter Member Illustrates Children’s Book

> Artist Vicki Norris Hoffman, member of Centerville, VA, Chapter 1674, has illustrated a children’s book about the importance of friendship by author Roland McElroy titled Jibicle and Cokie. McElroy was looking for an illustrator for his second children’s book, when he met Hoffman in a chance meeting in physical therapist's office. McElroy, a former chief of staff for Senators Sam Nunn (GA) and Chuck Robb (VA) was recovering from surgery while Hoffman was being treated for carpal tunnel syndrome. The two struck up a conversation and the children’s book team was born. This is the first book Hoffman has illustrated, having previously focused her talents on portraits and murals. Her work can be seen in the Moose mural at the Centerville Lodge.

Jibicle and Cokie is currently available at amazon.com, borders.com, waldenbooks.com, and signed copies can be obtained directly from Roland McElroy at www.mcelroyassoc.com/publish.shtml.
