> The Moose International Convention and WOTM International Conference in Chicago is an event unlikeany other. Between 6,000 - 7,000 Moose men and women are expected to travel to the Windy City to hear the latest news about their fraternity; visit with friends old and new; and take the opportunity to visit our own Child City, Mooseheart - to meet the children whose lives they’ve enhanced through their resources and expressions of love.

Friday evening, May 26 features the
Convention
Premiere
,
with a keynote address to both men and women by Director General Donald H. Ross, the awarding of the Moose International Shining Stars, and the unveiling of the new membership campaign for 2006-07.

On Saturday, May 27, the day starts with a trip to
Mooseheart to witness the emotional
high school graduation ceremonies; tour campus in late spring’s glory; and for certain individuals, to receive the fraternity’s highest degrees - the Pilgrim Degree of Merit for the men and the College of Regents Degree for the women. Later that evening, men and women of the Higher Degrees can attend an exclusive show featuring Grammy Award-winning artists Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers.

Sunday, May 28 marks the opening sessions for both the Women of the Moose and the Supreme Lodge, followed by a joint general session in the afternoon. During the evening, members of the 25 Club will gather together to share in music and entertainment.

On Monday, May 29th,
U.S. Navy Capt. Gerald Coffee (Ret.) will recount his experience of seven years as a prisoner of war in the Communist prisons of North Vietnam during a very special Memorial Day presentation. By sharing these insights, Capt. Coffee actually influences the way people think about themselves, their relationships, their country, and their God. The feedback he receives indicates that he is not just inspiring others, but actually empowering them to change their lives.

On Tuesday, May 30, men’s and women’s sessions continue, and that evening the Moose will hold a special outdoor Convention Extravaganza in Chicago’s spectacular Millennium Park to benefit Mooseheart. Moose members will receive premium seating to this event, but the public will be invited as part of the Moose’s North American campaign to raise awareness of the good that our members do for children, seniors and our communities.

Finally, on Wednesday, May 31 the new officers will be installed who will lead this fraternity in the coming year, plus the results of the 2006 Moose ritual competition will be announced.
