19-14 Football Win Warms A Chilly, Overcast Saturday

> Representatives from three Moose Associations joined the fraternity’s visiting Supreme Council and (of course) Mooseheart alumni from all over North America for Homecoming 2005 at Mooseheart Child City & School, Oct. 7-8.

Following presentations at the Pennsylvania Baby Village, the Iowa/Eastern Nebraska Home and Kentucky Home (facing page), all the visitors gathered at Illinois Memorial Stadium to cheer on the Red Ramblers football team to a 19-14 win over Rockford Christian.

Mooseheart grads of all vintages visited the newly revamped Mooseheart Alumni Center, housed in the Campanile Building.

Other Homecoming-Saturday presentations to Director General Donald Ross included a $10,000 check from Pennsylvania Moose Association President Tom Colinear for renovation work at Pennsylvania Home, and $2,500 for the “Mooseheart Wish List” from Iowa/Eastern Nebraska VP Ron Wanamaker (below, with Mooseheart Executive Director Scott Hart looking on appreciatively).





Homecoming also brought the Supreme Council for its fall meeting; Councilman G.W. McCullough (right) conferred with Mooseheart Board member (and 1984 Mooseheart grad) Mark Penzkover.


‘Old Kentucky Home’ Becomes a Newly Renovated Home--Thanks to Moose of the Bluegrass State

Supreme Governor Ronald Sweetman (left) joined with Kentucky Moose Association President Tim Cavanaugh to cut the ribbon Saturday morning, Oct. 8, on the newly refurbished Kentucky Home, with the happy young men whose home it is, looking on.


Visitors from the Kentucky Moose Association, which raised $188,000 of the total $300,000 renovation project on the 85-year-old structure, toured the home before ribbon-cutting. It marked the 28th Mooseheart home either built new or fully rehabbed since 1991.
