Cincy’s Tebelman Breaks Up Shifflett-Rioux Domination in Horseshoes Tourney

> The 18th Annual International Moose Horseshoes Tournament hosted by Mansfield, OH Lodge 341 made Moose sports history for who won it—and who didn’t.

For the first time since 1996 and only the second time since 1992, the Men’s Singles Championship Flight A was won by someone other than the dynamic duo of Moose horseshoes—Elbert Shifflett of Frederick, MD and Norm Rioux of Bozrah, CT. The top honors this year went to Ric Tebelman of Cincinnati, OH Lodge 2, who won the championship flight when he went 8 and 2 with a 66.89 ringer percentage.

Special thanks goes out to all pitchers, members and volunteers of the host Mansfield Lodge 341 and Chapter 47 for their help and hospitality throughout the weekend. Our thanks to International Moose Horseshoes Chairman and Administrator Brian Keever of Mansfield 341 and his crew of volunteers for their time and efforts.

The 2005 International Horseshoes Tournament travels back to Virginia, July 15-17, to be hosted by Strasburg, VA Lodge 403.
