Baile New Director of Fraternal Programs
Airey names him to succeed Jim Morgan, who returns to Ohio
> Director General William B. Airey has appointed Shawn M. Baile to the position of Director of Fraternal Programs, effective March 1.
Baile, 34, succeeds James E. Morgan,
who has left Moose International’s employ after nearly 20 years of service to return to his home state of Ohio.
“Jim tells me that he intends to remain active in the Moose program within the Buckeye State,” said Airey. “We look forward to his continued fraternal service, and we wish him all the best as he travels this new pathway in his life. Fortunately, we have an extremely capable and dedicated young man to succeed him, in Shawn Baile.”
Under Baile’s leadership now are the Moose fraternity’s programs of Community Service, Moose Legion, Men’s Ritual, Fraternal Awards, Sports, Youth Programs, Travel Programs and Fraternal Fundraising.
Sharing the responsibility of managing the department will be Assistant Director Henry Houck, who will coordinate the programs of Fraternal Awards and Family Activities (which include sports activities, youth programs and travel), and an additional Assistant Director, who will be responsible for coordinating the programs of the Moose Legion, Ritual, Community Service and Fraternal Fundraising.
Government Relations, previously under the Department of Fraternal Programs, will now be handled through the Legal Department at Moose International.
“We know that Shawn will receive the necessary support from our fraternal units and from the staff at Moose International,” said Airey. “We wish him great success as he builds our fraternal programs.”
Baile joined York, PA Lodge 148 in 1997, and transferred to Gettysburg, PA Lodge 1526 in September 2004. Shawn served his Lodge as Treasurer, Prelate, Jr. Governor and Governor. Elevating to Keystone Moose Legion 41, he served that Moose Legion unit as Financial Director, then as Secretary from 2002-2006.
Baile has also served the Pennsylvania Moose Association as a District Prelate and District Vice President, and as Community Service Chairman for the Southeast Region.
A member of the Moose 25 Club, Shawn received the Fellowship Degree of Honor in 2003.
Baile is also a member of the Elks fraternity, and of the Sons of the American Legion.
Born and raised in the York area, Baile received a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from The Pennsylvania State University in 1996. Before joining the Moose International staff, he was employed as a communications technician for I.B. Abel Inc. in York, PA.
Baile and his wife Denielle, and their daughter Emily, live in Sandwich, IL.
