Moose Legionnaires Show Pride in ‘Elite’ Ring

> Sponsors attaining 100 member units to their credit receive this distinctive sterling silver ‘Elite’ Moose Legionnaire ring. Diamonds are added to the ring when sponsors reach the 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800 and 900 unit levels of achievement. A gold ring is awarded to sponsors who reach the 1,000 level of membership success. Only two Moose Legionnaires have ever attained 1,000 units and with them the gold ring: Rus Wittig, retired Director of the Moose Legion; and Don Biddle, Secretary of Seminole (FL) Moose Legion 81.

‘Only a Dollar!’ Campaign Extended Through June!

> Moose Legion sponsors who’ve taken advantage, since Jan. 1, of the “Jump Up and Holler; It’s Only a Dollar” campaign—involving just a $1 enrollment fee into the Degree of Service—now have this powerful tool at their disposal until June 30!

These two months of “overtime” will provide you, your Lodge, your Moose Legion and the fraternity the chance to be winners in our Second Degree membership game. Grab a handful of Moose Legion membership applications and start asking your Lodge brothers to join you in having fun while doing greater service for his Lodge, Mooseheart, Moosehaven and the Moose fraternity.

PLUS—sponsors of all new and former members, reported as enrolled in May and June, will receive unit credit toward yet-to-be-announced 2004-2005 membership campaign.

The theme and awards for this exciting new membership promotion will be unveiled at the International Moose Convention in Charlotte, NC. Come to Charlotte and be the first to hear and see what you can earn as a Moose Legion sponsor!

Fall Conference in Gatlinburg, TN: A Good Ol’ Time!

> Lil’ Abner and Daisy Mae, gospel and bluegrass music, Great Smoky Arts and Crafts and the beautiful Smoky Mountains—all those await Moose Legionnaires and their ladies attending the 38th Annual Moose Legion Ritual Competition and Conference in Gatlinburg, TN. This event, scheduled for Oct. 28-31, 2004, will be hosted by the Moose Legionnaires from the Volunteer State.

Thursday’s golf tournament, Ritual competition, a special Friday “Fun Nite” and Saturday’s Halloween banquet (with a “hillbilly” costume theme), and Ritual awards will provide something for everyone. (There’ll be a business meeting or two, also!) All Moose Legionnaires and their ladies are invited to come and enjoy the atmosphere of fun and service surrounded by the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

Each Moose Legion unit should start making plans to send its Ritual staff to compete for top honors. Plus, the President and Secretary of each Moose Legion are the official representatives to this annual event. Complete details are available from your Moose Legion Secretary, or online at www.mooseintl.org under the Moose Legion option.
