Now—‘Catch the Wave’ All the Way to Charlotte

(Half-Price $10 Fee Extended to June 30!)

> There is still plenty of time for members of the Moose to Catch the Wave of Opportunity. The fantastic $10 half-price enrollment fee campaign has been extended past the April 30 end of the Moose fiscal year; past the May 31 end of the 2003-04 Catch the Wave campaign—all the way through to the end of the 116th International Convention on June 30! All the way until the end of our Charlotte meeting, you may sponsor either a new Moose member, or bring a former member back into active status, for a mere $10 enrollment fee—50% off the normal fee.

From now through the end of the Catch The Wave campaign on May 31, there’s also still time to qualify for one of 54 trips for two—4 days, 3 nights—to one of 70 elite resorts; and, time to qualify for one of 13 monthly Moose-Cruise-For-Two drawings on the Dec. 5, 2004 sailing of the NCL America ship Pride of Aloha for seven days in the Hawaiian Islands (see chart of first ten winners on facing page); and, you may still qualify for the Grand Prize of the Catch The Wave campaign: a trip for two to Super Bowl XXXIX, February 2005 in Jacksonville, FL!

For all these prizes—the more members sponsored from May 1, 2003 through May 31, 2004, the better your chances are of receiving an award.

Is It Preferred Member Party Time At Your Lodge? If you have participated in the new-member program at your Lodge—simply through sponsoring at least one member since May 1, 2003—you most likely have been invited to attend your Lodge’s 2004 Preferred Member Party. Traditionally, this is an annual event that we urge every Lodge to host during the month of May—though some Lodges throw such a party quarterly, and that’s just fine. Only a Moose member who became a Moose sponsor during the previous fiscal year (and his guest) are invited to attend. The party generally involves dinner, beverages and entertainment as a “thank-you” to the Lodge’s member-sponsors; many times, a program of recognition for the sponsors is quite appropriately held. (Again, this is what many Lodges do and what we recommend—the specific details at your Lodge are set by your Board of Officers.) Many Lodges use their Preferred-Member Party to distribute good-natured “graduation certificates” to the former “Baby Moose” of their Lodge who sponsored a member and therefore moved up from the “Baby” ranks.

The new 2004-2005 Membership Campaign Theme will be announced at the “Convention Premiere” kicking off the 116th International Campaign in Charlotte, on Friday night, June 25. Campaign packets with full information and materials will arrive at each Lodge office on or about June 30, and the campaign begins on Thursday, July 1. Make sure you watch for details of this campaign, both in the Lodge mailbox and on www.mooseintl.org —and full details will appear in the Convention-coverage issue of Moose Magazine that should arrive in every member’s home during mid- to late-August.

Our fraternity will experience many changes over the next few years. These changes will result in exciting new opportunities for both the men and women of the Moose organization—opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of others; opportunities to be of service to your communities; opportunities to provide (and to enjoy!) social and sports activities for you and your family; opportunities to take advantage of the growing list of value-added benefits now being offered to members of the Moose (see pp. 7-8 and 38-41). Hop on board this wave of enthusiasm! Get involved; enjoy your Moose membership to its fullest, and realize the difference that you can make—just by yourself!—in the future of our Family Fraternity.
