> Administrators, Recorders and Moose Legion Secretaries now have the requisite tools to do their jobs. More members participated in the November Seminar in Reno, NV than at any previous seminar. More training courses are being offered, more frequently. More members are taking advantage of the increased opportunities to attend training sessions. Most importantly, membership in the Loyal Order of Moose, Women of the Moose and the Moose Legion are all on the rise! Our future indeed, is looking Bigger and Brighter!

Jan. 1 began the final four months of our ‘Pass It On’ annual membership campaign. During these last 17 weeks the Membership Department is promoting an additional short-term membership campaign entitled “Bigger and Brighter”. This program features special award recognition for our brothers and co-workers who fulfill their obligation to increase the membership of our Order.

Lodge and Chapter members earning two sponsor credits between Jan. 1 and April 30, 2007, will receive a credit card-sized magnifier light, ideal for aiding in reading menus and checks in dimly lit restaurants, or other fine-print, low-light reading situations. Applications dated between Jan. 1 and April 30 will receive credit towards earning sponsor awards in both the ‘Pass It On’ and ‘Bigger and Brighter’ membership campaigns.

These last few months are also the final opportunity to qualify to receive an invitation to the 25 Club Event at the Orlando Convention. To receive an invitation, members must sponsor their 25th career applicant during the ‘Pass It On’ campaign year, or have previously entered the 25 Club and sponsor at least three applicants during the current campaign year. 25 Club members and Women of the Moose Top Sponsors will be treated to an evening featuring a variety of entertaining acts, as we present “Whose Talent’s Tops?”. Those in attendance will make that call as they vote with their applause and voices as measured by our applause-o-meter. This will be an evening sure to be enjoyed by all.

Loyal Order of Moose members earning their way into the 2006 Director General’s Circle of Distinction – sponsors of 25 or more during the ‘Pass It On’ campaign – are in for a treat. Or should we say will be treated to a feast. These members will be invited to dine with Director General William B. Airey and his wife Jean at the Boston Lobster Feast - an all you can eat dining extravaganza featuring lobster, crab legs, fish, chicken and fresh carved roast beef.

Are you still a few sponsor credits short of being invited to these exciting sponsor recognition events? Do you think there is no one left to invite to join your Lodge or Chapter? The Administrator or Recorder is always a good place to start looking for leads. They will be able to provide you with a list of former members who just may be ready to give the Moose another try. This is especially true if your facility has remodeled, relocated or even if the Lodge has just expanded on the number and variety of activities offered, since a former member allowed his dues to lapse.

Another place to look for ideas is your Regional Manager. He can advise you and your Board of Officers on promoting and hosting an open house to showcase your Lodge and Chapter’s facilities and activities to local citizens, as well as to show the many ways the Moose helps to improve their community. The Regional Manager can also share with you, ideas from other Lodges and Chapters that were successful in building their memberships.

Our recent success and good fortune can be short lived. Only YOU can ensure that the future of your Lodge or Chapter, and the entire fraternity, is indeed, Bigger and Brighter. Share the gift of Moose.
