Brothers, If Youre Accustomed to Earning Full Sponsor Credit For Applications Reported ONLY. . .
Do it NOWBecause It Ends April 30!
> For decades, member-sponsors of the Loyal Order of Moose have been accustomed to earning full sponsor credittoward designation in Moose International 5 Club for a given year, or toward achievement of the Moose 25 Club or its higher divisions at the point at which the application, signed by the candidate, is reported to Moose International, accompanied by the application fee.
This means that if a sponsor signed a candidate in February or Marchbut, that candidate had schedule conflicts such that he could not get to the Lodge for an enrollment before the end of the April 30 fiscal yearthe sponsor got credit for the application anyway, as soon as the Lodge reported it; he did not have to wait until the candidate showed for an enrollment.
But on May 1, 2005as has previously been announcedthat changes; sponsors will receive credit only when candidates are reported as having been enrolled.
For just as many decades, the Women of the Moose issued a member-sponsor credit only after a sponsors candidate had been reported as enrolled. And, with the Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose going to a single new Moose Membership Management System (MMMS) later this year to handle all membership databases consistentlyand soon to centralize the invoicing and collection of member duesa decision had to be made as to whether the men, or the women, would change their policy on sponsor credit. It was determined several months ago that the consistent policy to be followed is that new members will henceforth be reported only upon enrollment.
Sothis gives you an opportunity, and a deadline! Between now and April 30, 2005, you can end the 2004-05 Moose fiscal year with a flourish by getting signatures from all the potential member candidates youve had in mind! If your Lodge reports those applications simply as having come in with application fee paid, on or before Saturday, April 30, youll receive full credit toward 5 Club for the year, toward 25 Club or a higher division thereof, and the Director Generals Circle of Distinction if youre approaching the heights of 100 members for the year. (Application-only credit will continue to be given through May 31 for awards in the Its Up To Me campaign.) After that, sponsor credits will only be designated on a candidates enrollment.
Were calling this period between Feb. 1 and April 30 Countdown to Changeand if your Lodge reports just 3 new members to your credit during this period, youll receive the SuperSize Translucent Clock, a world-time-zones alarm clock with easy-to-use raised-rubber buttons. It comes in a sleek matte silver color, with translucent side-accents in blue. It functions as a clock, alarm, calculator, calendar and more.
Additionally, Lodges can win a special Countdown to Change wall clock if they report at least one new member during each of the months of February, March and Apriland have at least one more member-in-good-standing on April 30, 2005 than they did on April 30, 2004.
