Kurt Wolbrink
Executive Director, Moose Charities

> Moose Charities Executive Director Kurt Wolbrink lauded Moose Lodges and Chapters and Legions which donate generously to fund the fraternity’s work, during Wednesday’s final Joint General Session.

During 2004-05, Moose Charities received $11.25 million to support Mooseheart and Moosehaven, with our Lodges, Chapters, Moose Legions and Councils of Higher Degrees contributing over $5.1 million, Wolbrink said.

Wolbrink listed the following units which each contributed $25,000 or more: Portsmouth, OH Lodge 762, OH; Indian Lake, OH Lodge 1533; Lexington, OH Lodge 2511; Port Clinton, OH Lodge 1610; Whitehall, OH l Lodge 1245; Hilliard, OH Lodge 2236; Newark, OH Lodge 499, Northfield, OH Lodge 2156; Miamisburg, OH Lodge 1645; Fairborn, OH Lodge 1068; Springfield, OH Lodge 536; Greenville, OH Lodge 329; Urbana, OH Lodge 1215; Speedway, IN Lodge 500; Dayton, OH Lodge 73; Crystal Lakes, OH Lodge 2464; Norwalk, OH Lodge 1248; Truth or Consequences, NM Lodge 2050; Worthington, OH Lodge 1427; Napoleon, OH Lodge 788.

Whatever the gift size, Wolbrink said everyone should know that “each and every gift is truly appreciated.”

Editor’s note: The preponderance of Lodges from the Ohio Moose Association in these listings is, in part, a result of that Association’s agreement to fund a $10 millon commitment to renovate and operate the old “C-Wing” of the Moosehaven Life Care Center. Other state or provincial Associations interested in pursuing similar commitments may contact Moose Charities at 630/966-2200.
