Scott Rises to Supreme Prelate, Koons to Council

> William R. Scott (far left) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON Lodge 535 was nominated and elected Supreme Prelate during the Charlotte Convention. Scott joined the Moose in 1977; he received the Fellowship Degree of Honor in 1986 and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1997. Scott is just the third Canadian in the fraternity’s history to rise to so high an office. And, Joseph R. Koons (far right) of Danville, PA Lodge 1133 was elected to the Supreme Council. Koons, a Moose since 1969 and holder of the Pilgrim Degree since 1991, had served on the Mooseheart Board of Directors. Ronald Sweetman (second from left) rises from Supreme Prelate to Supreme Jr. Governor. Sweetman, of New Castle, DE Lodge 1578, has served on the Supreme Council since 1994. Past Supreme Governor Guy E. Moneypenny formally installed the new officers, including new Jr. Past Supreme Governor Thomas Hatcher of East Hartford, CT Lodge 1477.
