PC Support Specialist






general summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Network Operations, the PC Support Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and setting up personal computers, related peripheral equipment, and PC software for Moose International, Mooseheart, and Moosehaven.


essential job functions:

  • Resolve problem calls within Moose International, Mooseheart, and Moosehaven campuses related to PC hardware, peripheral computer equipment and software problems
  • Set up the PCs and related peripheral equipment, run diagnostics, load software and software upgrades
  • Input and maintain the PC inventory system - this includes but is not limited to entering model and serial numbers of all PC equipment that is installed or replaced
  • Develop documentation, analysis, create testing and modification of computer
  • Develop procedures/protocols within the Information Systems Department
  • Remote server support
  • Other duties as assigned as part of the Informations Systems Team

    Knowledge, skills & abilities:
  • MS Office and Outlook
  • Attention to detail, strong ability to relate to customers and the ability to work within a team
  • Excellent written and oral skills to communicate effectively with all levels of organizational and vendor leadership and employees
  • Ability to comprehend complex ideas, develop solutions to problems, and to analyze quantitative data
  • Ability to work under stress and successfully handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing organizational needs and priorities
  • Strong troubleshooting skills

    minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors/Associates Degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience
  • 1-3 years' experience in setting up and supporting Microsoft Operating Systems

    compensation & benefits:

  • $40,000-$44,000 annually
