Danny Albert

Danny R. Albert serves as Supreme Governor, the chief presiding officer of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was elected to this position at the 126th International Convention in Las Vegas in June 2014. He previously served as Supreme Jr. during 2013-2014 and Supreme Prelate during 2012-2013. Danny has served on the Supreme Council, the Fraternity’s corporate Board of Directors, since 2006. Before that he served on the Moose Charities Board from 2004-06, the Mooseheart Board of Directors from 2000-2004, and 11 years prior on the International Sports Committee, including as its chairman.

Danny joined Mansfield, OH Lodge 341 in 1969; he holds Life Membership there. He served all the chairs of his Lodge, including four terms as Governor, two terms as Jr. Governor, a single term as Prelate, and Inner and Outer Guard. He is also a member of Mooseheart, IL Lodge 2655 and Cut Bank, MT Lodge 334. A Life Member of Central Ohio Moose Legion 63, Danny also served all chairs of the Degree of Service.

Danny is a Past President of the Ohio State Moose Association, additionally serving the Association as District Vice President, Prelate, Vice President, Director of Activities and Sports Director. He currently serves the Association as Golf Chairman. He was Ohio's "Sportsman of the Year" in 1992.

Danny has also served the Fraternity as Assistant Sgt.-at-Arms, Assistant Inner and Outer Guard, and as a member of the Grievance Committee. He is a member of the 200 Division of the Moose 25 Club, received the Fellowship Degree of Honor in 1977, and the Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 1987.


Professionally, Danny retired in 2001 after 34 years as an inspector with the Auditor's Office of Richland County, OH.


He and his wife Louise reside in Mansfield, OH. They have four children, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
