July 31st, 2014 - Kurt Wiebe, Director of Membership & Chief Marketing Officer
Beginning Friday, August 1st, lodges will have the opportunity to apply for a grant from Moose International in order to repair, replace or upgrade facilities which will make the lodge more attractive/functional for new and existing members. The grants cannot be used to pay current or past bills or loans. The grants will be dispersed in amounts anywhere between $500 and $25,000 with a cap of $1,000,000 per year over the next three years.
To qualify, lodges needed to be present at the 2014 International Moose Convention and submit an application and project quote by October 31st. Applications will be accessible by logging into the lodge’s Admin Menu from the MI website. If a lodge was identified as not having representation at the Convention, when they try to fill out an application, a note will automatically pop up denying them the ability to complete the form. Payments will begin to be distributed to accepted lodges by the beginning of January after a review process by our field staff, MI staff and the Supreme Council.
An Official Communication with more detailed information about this new program will be sent out Thursday, July 31st to all Lodges.
