April 17th, 2014 - Viatra Baker, Web Content & Social Media Coordinator
On Sunday April 13th, the Chicopee Moose Lodge and members of the community joined together to help raise funds and awareness for those suffering from autism.
Hundreds of people showed up at the Moose Lodge and enjoyed a $5 pasta dinner, multiple raffles, and great company, with all proceeds going towards autism research.
Kayla Humel, a Chicopee High School student, started the fundraiser last year in support of her family. She calls the fundraiser "Anthony's Army" in honor of her cousin who has autism. This year the event raised over $3,200 for autism awareness.
To the men and women at the Chicopee Moose Lodge: wonderful community service effort! Events such as these are what the Moose organization is all about!
