British Moose
Plan for Successful ’07-’08

Kevan Randall, the Grand Lodge National Administrator of Great Britain, addresses the Peabody Hotel ballroom audience during Monday’s Supreme Lodge Session.
> When Kevan Randall, the National Administrator of Moose International in Great Britain, stood to address the Peabody Ballroom audience in Monday’s Loyal Order of Moose session, he did so with a mixed bag of results to present.
On one hand, membership numbers continued to decline, though Randall said the rate of that decline has slowed.
However, the Great Britain Moose chartered a new Moose Legion unit, the first time in 21 years the Moose Legion has had a European home.
Randall said he stood hopeful, “that next year, I will be able to report to the Director that not only that we achieved a membership growth, but more importantly that we have established at least one new Lodge.”

Randall (right) and Bryan White, the retired Chief Executive Officer of the Grand Lodge of Great Britain, were among the British Moose who attended this year’s convention in Orlando.
Randall said the Great Britain Moose raised around $120,000 over the past two years for the Whizz-Kidz charity, to help provide specialized mobility equipment for handicapped children.
The coming year will be the third and final year in support of this charity.
Randall reported that Aug. 24, 2008 marks the 75th anniversary of the opening of the UK-based Mooseheart. That facility could soon be undergoing an improvement, should an 800-sq.-ft. addition be approved by the local planning commission.
