'Tommy
Moose' Program Gets
Big-City Exposure With
Appearance
On NBC5 Chicago
CHICAGO,
May 26 -- This morning's pre-Today
Show newscast on NBC5, WMAQ-TV in Chicago, featured an
appearance by Moose International's life-size Tommy Moose,
accompanied by Director of Fraternal Programs Shawn Baile.
They were hosted by NBC5 morning anchor Rob Elgas.
The appearance during a segment at 5:45 a.m. CDT offered the opportunity for
Baile to spread the word to 8 million Chicago-region residents about the
Tommy Moose program, in which the men and women of 1,800 Moose Centers
all across North America make cuddly plush Tommy Moose dolls available to
police, fire and ambulance units. The public-safety personnel then have
Tommy handy in their vehicles to provide to small children in traumatic
situations.
Baile also had the opportunity to mention the fact that 5,000 Moose men and women were
in Chicago for the 2009 International Convention, and the Moose organization's
support of Mooseheart Child City & School 40 miles west of Chicago.
