Operations Analyst

 

Preferred current residence in Southern California, New England,
Virginia/Carolinas, Michigan, Southwestern Pennsylvania

   
Four (4) Openings May 1, 2010 - Lodge Operations Department

 

 

 

 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Performs routine visits and, when necessary, detailed examinations of Moose Lodge Operations, potentially throughout North America.  Verifies proper record keeping for revenue, expenses, assets and liabilities.  Inspects tax records - national, state and local - to assess compliance with filing and payment requirements.  Verifies Lodge participation in mandated insurance programs.  Evaluates the level of Lodge participation in Fraternal Programs.  Promotes membership growth, and increasing the assets of the Lodge.  Provides recommendations to assist Lodges in maximizing profitability and implementing programs consistent with the objectives, laws and policies of the fraternity.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Reports to the Director of Lodge Operations

Requirements:

  • Willing to travel – frequently requires several weeks at a time away from home
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening and observation skills
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Windows XP, word processing and spreadsheet software - MSOffice Suite proficiency is preferred
  • Basic understanding of electronic accounting software - QuickBooks Pro preferred
  • Must learn proprietary Moose Membership Management software
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.  Reliable transportation – use of personal car

Desirable:

  • Prior Business Management experience - preferably in Food & Beverage Operations
  • Prior teaching and/or training experience
  • Knowledge of Loyal Order of Moose laws, policies and procedures
  • Experience as a Moose Lodge Administrator and/or Governor
